I bought this dress from TopShop a while ago and it's a perfect all-rounder dress for any occasion. I wore it for family christmas, my sister-in-law's kitchen tea and now two of my favourite teacher's wedding. I love when a piece of clothing is filled with so many great memories (so corny).

My mates and I went to the wedding ceremony of two of our teachers and it was so lovely. It so amazing how the your relationships with your teachers develop in your senior year. You go from despising them to becoming friends with them. I also got to catch up with my teachers from year 7 & 8, it feels like a life time ago that they were my teachers, I was like a little pre-puberty baby and now I'm nearly 18.  An experience and memory I will always remember from this last and special year of high school is the friendship I made with my teachers.

Early Mornings

Early mornings in St Kilda are quiet, relaxing and delightful. Who would think that you could get such serenity in an area in very close proximity to the CBD? The early hour meant that there were no rushed people trying to get to a certain place, only joggers, dog-walkers and middle-aged men cycling in lycra (that definitely wasn't a factor contributing to the delightfulness of that morning).

I had to go to St Kilda eary in the morning to pick up my retainers from the dentist. If you follow me on instagram you would know that I recently just finished my invisalign treatment which I am very happy about. After the quick stop to the dentist, my mum and I had an awesome breakfast at a very cute cafe to end what was a great morning.

Even though I would like to have an extra few more hours of sleep on the weekend, lovely early mornings like these make me want to get up.

How do you spend your mornings on the weekend?

The Skort

Woohooo it's the skort! The skort has been constantly on repeat in fashion bloggers for quite while now and I finally got one from Seams Theory.

When I first saw the Dion Lee version of the skirt I was in awe and then when Zara made the skort I thought it was my chance to grab a very coveted piece. HOWEVER the price tag of $70+ stopped me.
Luckily the skort on Seams Theory is $40, which is much much much better and now this beautiful piece is sitting soundly in my wardrobe.
Thank you Seams Theory for sending me this wondeful piece :D

Black dungarees

After constantly seeing the dungarees trend explored in different way by many fashion bloggers and on the streets, I decided to get a pair and give it a go. I really love the look of denim dungarees, but decided to first get these black tailored ones from Asos that are a bit more simple. I love the look of the more extravagant pairs such as the leather and oxblood ones, but maybe they will just stay on my wish list for now.

When I first told my friends a bought a pair of overalls there was a bit of confusion as to why I would buy dungarees/overalls. Overalls were associated with trade mens not the latest street style trend. I hope I don't look like a trades men :P

Gold patterned collar

A shirt and trousers or jeans is my go to look. This outfit is quite simple but the unique gold patterned collar on the shirt changes it up. I love finding clothing pieces that have some sort of statement element to it, because I love simple minimalistic outfits however they can be quite dull at times and some kind of statement colour or pattern, big or small can change that.

The trousers I am wearing are from zara and an absolute life saver. They are so comfy, it feels like I am wearing leggings. Personally I don't think leggings are pants to wear out but I think they're acceptable when people have long tops on. The crotch area of leggings are not flattering at all and quite exposing. If you love the comfortability of leggings but want to find a more sophisticated alternative, definitely invest in skinny trousers.

Staple knit jumper

Jumper: Topshop (similar here)
Jeans: Topshop

Whilst in Topshop my mother who knows me too well found this jumper for in the sale section and man do i love it! It's the perfect winter knit jumper and the only con is that winter is on the verge of ending here in Australia so I won't be able to wear it that often, but then again I live in Melbourne and the weather can be quite unpredictable (always have an umbrella or sunscreen in hand lol). But I know this knit jumper will be one of my winter staples for many years to come.
Rant over how much I love this jumper is over.

Comfy Cardi

Whilst wearing this cardigan I feel like I'm wearing a blanket because it's so comfy, I just wish it was warmer!
This month is the open days for the universities and whilst I spend my Sundays exploring campuses and attending seminars on courses, I constantly think "What will I wear when I'm in university?" I have a school uniform for school so from Monday- Friday I don't even have to think about what to wear. For me deciding what to wear on the weekend is hard enough and having to do that every day seems like it would be stressful.

Do you go to university? Is the task of figuring out what to wear daunting or an easy process for you?
Let me know :)

Zipped Parka

Do you ever see people in the city or in your local town wearing wonderful outfits and think I'm going to replicate that? I hope it's a thing but I do.

One of my favourite things about the city of Melbourne is the street style, it is so diverse with the hipsters, posh people and everything in-between.
Whilst ordering a coffee in the CBD I saw a girl wearing an awesome outfit. She had a zipped up parka, shirt with a chained necklace, black jeans and boots. I loved her look and replicated it but with my own little spend of faux leather pants and wedged booties.

On a different note it is heating up here. The sun is shining and the weather is in the 20+ degrees Celsius range. Keeping in mind that it is meant to be winter here. Wohoo bring on the sun :D

Blue and gold

Shirt: Zara (similar here)
Jeans: Miss Shop (similar here)
Shoes: Kmart (similar here)
Sunnies: Miss Shop (similar here)

A simple outfit- shirt and jeans.

I am aware that this shirt is incredibly creased :( I ironed it but a day of errands has made it look like it's been crumpled in the back of my cardboard for years.
The sun came out today and taking photos in front of a palm tree made me forget that it's actually winter here in Australia.

Oxblood trousers

Back to the old days of my outfit photos in front of a brick wall. These are my first pair of skinny trousers and I love them. They're comfy, easy to wear and look great on. This burgundy colour or in fancy terms 'oxblood' was super popular during the autumn/winter period in the Northern Hemisphere and now it's time for myself and fellow Southern Hemisphere friends to experiment with this gorgeous winter colour. I really want to get a blazer or coat in oxblood it's such a great way of adding colour in a winter outfit, as it is still in the darker tones but not the usual and dull black and grey.

Checkers with Persun

I've been seeing a lot more checkers lately while online shopping and window shopping and I do have to say the pattern is growing on me. I'm starting to open up to more patterned and statement items and I think checkers will be a get stepping stone to adding a bit more eccentric pieces in my wardrobe. The pattern is simple but makes quite the statement and incorporating this into my usual minimal and simple looks will be a great way of adding a statement into my look.

All these pieces pictured above are from Persun.

I think each one of these pieces could be paired with a boyfriend blazer and a simple white tee with the shorts, pants or skirt to create a simple, effortless but still incredibly chic look.
